Architecture and interior design project for the new offices of the Unified Access Service (SAU) of the Port of Barcelona. Created as an open and multifunctional space, the SAU is the visible face of the Port of Barcelona to visitors, whether they are companies or individuals, and is located on the first floor of the East building of the World Trade Center Barcelona, which also houses the headquarters of the Port Authority. Since the building is surrounded by water and the main tasks of its premises are related to port office activities, the theme of water is prominent in the design and is reflected in the selection of materials. At the main entrance is the reception: a welcoming, comfortable and modern space, with high walls lined with transparent polycarbonate panels and backlit with a pleasant color temperature. A composition that evokes the sun's reflections on the sea. Next to the reception area are the workstations in an open office area, where the desks are placed perpendicular to the glazed facade, allowing maximum use of natural light without glare. Next is the back office, a space equipped with a modern and functional open kitchenette and a spacious high table, which also serves as a meeting room. The touch of color used in the interior design refers us to the corporate image of the Port of Barcelona, a navy blue that is replicated occasionally as brushstrokes in the fabrics, decorative lamps and coatings, and contrasts markedly with the light wood and warm gray tones of the rest of the elements.
